Veronica Chu, O.D.

Dr. Veronica Chu received her Doctor of Optometry degree from the University of California, Berkeley. She holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Brain and Cognitive Sciences from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. She has completed clinical training at the Stanford Byers Eye Institute, UCSF Berkeley Outpatient Center, and Monterey VA Clinic.
In addition to routine eye exams, Dr. Chu offers full-scope optometric care, with an emphasis on primary eye care, ocular disease management, and contact lens evaluation. She is TPA and glaucoma certified, which allows her to manage various ocular diseases, including glaucoma diagnosis and treatment. In her leisure time, Dr. Chu enjoys reading and spending quality time with friends and family. Dr. Chu believes that excellent eye care begins with listening. She takes the time to understand patients’ concerns, explain examination findings clearly, and recommend care based on the their individual health, vision, and lifestyle needs. She is honored to serve the Laguna Niguel community and looks forward to building lasting relationships with patients and their families. |
Eric J. Kawata, O.D.
Dr. Eric Kawata is a native of Southern California. He attended UCLA before completing his Doctor of Optometry degree at the Southern California College of Optometry in 1985. He started his first private practice in Anaheim in 1986 and soon thereafter opened a second location in Laguna Niguel in 1993.
Dr. Kawata is a past board member of the Orange County Optometric Society, the California Optometric Association, and the American Optometric Association. When he is not in the office, Dr. Kawata enjoys sportfishing and baseball with his wife and three children.
